Al Zahra Academy is honored to host its first annual Blood Drive & Meal & refreshments outreach, bringing our community together in the spirit of compassion, service, and humanity.

This initiative reflects our commitment to supporting families in need and helping save lives through the simple yet powerful act of giving. Whether through donating blood or distributing meals, every act of kindness has the ability to make a meaningful impact in someone’s life.

We are deeply thankful to the management of the Islamic Association of Central Connecticut and the American Red Cross for their valued partnership and support in making this important community effort possible. Together, we hope to inspire unity, generosity, and care for one another.

We invite everyone to join us and be part of this meaningful day of service and community support.

Alhamdulillah!

We Did It!

Our first ever Muhammad Day Community Event was a tremendous success!

Al Zahra Academy was honored to organize its first ever Muhammad Day Community Event, made possible with the support and collaboration of Al Taqwa Masjid and the American Red Cross.

Together, we accomplished:

  • 27 blood donors, potentially helping save up to 81 lives

  • 720 meals distributed

  • 15 volunteers who served on the day of the event

  • 6 volunteers who dedicated their time to planning and organizing

  • 205 volunteer hours served on the day of the event

  • Countless hours of planning behind the scenes

A heartfelt thank you to our volunteers, donors, sponsors, partners, and everyone who supported this effort. Your generosity and dedication helped us bring compassion, service, and hope to our community.

May Allah (SWT) accept this humble effort and reward everyone who contributed. This was more than an event; it reflected the teachings of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ in serving humanity, and echoed the legacy of Imam Hussain ibn Ali in standing for justice, compassion, and human dignity for all.

Thank you for making our first Muhammad Day Community Event unforgettable. Insha'Allah, this is just the beginning!
